Early May Machine Embroidery Designs and products are coming to the Central Coast to our store

to have a fun day learning and seeing Machine Embroidery Products…

Wednesday 6^th June

9 – 1pm

I am not charging the $10 for the day. It will be FREE for all our Sewing Club Members

And for those of you that attend the Day will receive 25% off anything you Purchase from the store on the day.(excludes sewing machines)

They will have lots of products to look at and purchase at the event.. IT IS NOT TO BE MISSED… Have a sick day at work if you need to…. It’s going to be a great day.

New Logo

Well here it is.....My new Logo..
I hope you all like it. It's been a long time coming. I never really thought the shop would take off the way it has. 6 years down the track and Classes are going really well, Orders for Ange's dance wear still coming in as well.We now sell the most popular Brands of Sewing machine's, Janome, Husqvarna and Pfaff.I have great staff that all get on and go beyond there call of duty for me.
I have got my first project in a Magazine "Creative Expressions".(I'll show you that later)
Big THANKS to Ally... she knows why.
Off to Sew some more.(never enough hours in the day)

I am still here !!!!!!

Okay, I know I haven't posted anything for about 4 weeks but I really would prefer sewing than being on my computer. Computers were not around when I started sewing so I never had to worry about Blogging or Facebook or really even looking at the net (because before you know it you have sat there for 8 or so hours) BUT I know you all love reading about what is happening in our world of sewing, so I will try and remember to let you all know what is going on.
Ange's classes have really taken off, she is such a great teacher. Pictures will come soon.
Jan's Junior's class (we were calling them Junior Quilters but they are sewing all kinds of things) are in full swing with the classes full at the moment.
And all BOM's and Sewing Groups are going well.
The Wyong quilt show is on again in a couple of weeks. so we all hope to see you there.

Retreat March 2012

Well another Retreat has come and gone. Thankyou to all the Wonderful Ladies for making it a Great Weekend. As normal I ate way to much(I should of learnt from last year) BUT it was soooo good.

I got ALOT of sewing done. Way more than I thought I would.

Where is the time going......

It just keeps getting away from me.... Everyone I talk to says the same thing. Are we just not organised??? Or is it just because we are all getting older????? Came home today and started to do March newsletter and I can not fit anything else in for March. Every day there is a Class or one day workshop on(or 2 or 3 on in the same day), or Training of some sort. I'm not complaining... If the shop was quiet I would be really worried, BUT i just need a couple of extra hours in my day. A Sneak Peak at a Machine Embroidery Quilt I have done for Creative Expressions Magazine. Jan Foster has quilted it for me and I will finish binding it tomorrow and it will be on it's way on Monday. Thanks Jan.

Jan works on a Monday night and teachers Class with me ,as there is to many Ladies in the class now and she also teachers our Junior quilters. I shouldn't call them Quilters now as they are sewing up a storm with all sorts of different projects.

Pfaff Sewing Machines

Okay, here it is. We now officially Stock Pfaff Sewing Machines. We are the only store all the Central Coast that has Pfaff. I am really happy with the way the store is heading now having all Major Brands. Come and see us for a deal.

We have learnt so much about Sewing Machine's in the last 6 years, as we are on them everyday learning something new.Also we attend training all the time. We also service all brands of machine's. 1 week turnaround. Come on in to the store and have a look at our range of Sewing Machine's or if you are having trouble with your machine we might be able to help you out.

Any one that attends our classes is welcome to sit in class and have a go.
BOY, this year so going to be busy. Everyone is hands on deck and ready to go.
I will be teaching most days, also doing a couple of workshops each month, and sewing Dance wear in the arvo. (while running the store) and showing customers how to use their Machines.

Ange will be teaching again this year(her mum is going really well) all our dressmaking classes
and some Patchwork classes. She is an Excellent teacher the best you can get. I am really lucky to be able to work with her. AND sewing Dance wear.

Gail is teaching our Machine Embroidery Classes.

Robyn will be looking after the store.(orders, phone calls, putting out stock ,etc)

Leanne has her own Thursday sewing Group.

Jan will be teaching with me on a Monday night(as she did last Year) and taking over from Ange with our kids classes.

Ally will keep doing her Magazine work and Teach our "Quilt in a day" workshops, and helping in the store.

We are only taking max 8 per class as the feed back we have is customers think classes they go to are to full. If there is a big class in our store 2 teachers will be on hand.(Mon nights, Tuesday's, Saturdays are big days in the store and there is 2 teachers).

I am looking forward to this year even though it is going to be so busy. But that's just the way i like it.

Happy Australia Day

Happy Australia Day to everyone.
I'm sitting at home with my boys today. They are mucking around playing the Wii, Paul is doing something in the yard and I am Sewing. BBQ lunch...(isn't that want we do on Australia day) Glass of wine and leftovers for dinner. What more could a girl want. Normally we would be at the beach BUT this rain as changed our plans this year...... I'm sitting here just taking it all in.... because come next week... We'll be all go, go, go. School's back, Nicks starting high school, all formal classes start, dancewear orders to be done after classes. But I love it.........

WOW, what a Tuesday

What a Day, Today.
Most of the Tuesday Sewing Girls were back and ready to Sew.
Jane just about finished her quilt. She just has to hand sew the binding. Ena's quilt is coming together well too.

14 of the Ladies were back today ,it was great to see them. We have a few new Ladies starting on a Tuesday in early Feb, so that will be exciting to see what they put together. On Tuesday's we also teach Dressmaking with Angela.

Also today we had a class as well out the back with our "Junior Quilter's" starting for the first time. Jan foster was their teaching them basic skills about there machine's and Piecing there quilts together. We limited the class to 7 so all the girls did not feel rushed.They all finished there tops and will quilt them next Tuesday.
It was a fun day with them sewing in the store. They were a great group of girls.Here are there finished top's of there quilts.

Sewing Groups and Workshops are filling up very fast for this year, with Mondays and Tuesdays allready full.

Junior Quilters will be on every school holidays. We will hold another class if any extra girls would like to join.

Let see what tomorrow will bring????

Quick Quilt....

I have just sewn up a Quick and Easy Quilt out of a jelly roll I had. Than sewn 4 together

Was going to add a white sashing????????? But decided not to, and just sew then all together on my favourite Sewing Machine. I LOVE the Janome Horizon.
Ended up looking like this.
Will sent it off to get quilted now.

Been Busy..........

Look what I have been up too...... I have had a couple of days just staying at home. Paul is back at work and I have been sewing. YAH, finally

I love working with Janet Sansom Embroidery Designs

They always stitch out so nice. I never have to sample them.

This year is going to be super busy for Ange and I.

Straight back into it...............

Happy New year to all.
I have had a great time with my family over the last week, but I'm ready to get straight back into it... I MISSSSSSS Sewing.
Lot's going on this year.

Monthly Newsletter. YES,,, that's right we will be doing a monthly newsletter (I do have a great helper?????)

3 Block of the month Quilt's. All with have to do with techniques on your machine.
Machine Embroidery Club.
Ange is back with her Basic Sewing Classes.
Leanne will be having her own Quilting Group on a Thursday
Ally will be having "quilt in a day"workshops
Jan will be teaching our "Junior Quilters"
